          Fiduciary Support

Our team approaches client services with a fiduciary mindset. As we do not use any proprietary products, our support is based solely on the objectives and needs of the plan, its participants and beneficiaries.

          Investment Support

We independently evaluate and monitor the plan’s investment options considering a variety of quantitative and qualitative criteria and can serve in a fiduciary capacity in our Retirement Plan Services Program.

          Plan Management

We assist plan sponsors in plan design features, comparing and selecting plan providers, and reviewing plan objectives including plan participation, deferral rates, and ultimately plan success.

          Participant Communication

We develop employee education programs and provide general asset allocation models and information to assist employees regarding the plan and investing for retirement.

          Compliance Assistance

We house all compliance documents in a secure cloud-based platform, so they are easily accessible to you whenever and wherever you need them. We provide regulatory and legislative updates, assisting plan sponsors with their governance duties, including adherence to the plan document, Section 404(c) of ERISA, and “best-practices” risk management.

          Second Opinion Service

We prepare a full analysis of your plan. We provide documentation that is intended to both educate the employer and become part of the plan’s due diligence file. Our analysis will benchmark your plan in four critical areas: plan design, investment performance, plan expenses, and plan compliance.

Whether you want to attract and retain top talent, provide a place for owners to save significantly on a tax deferred basis, or provide a tool for all of your employees to save, the best plan design is one that addresses the needs of your business. As your business evolves, so should your plan design. When you provide us with a copy of the Summary Plan Description, we deliver a benchmarking report that compares the plan to other plans within your industry.

The plan’s investment performance is one of the most crucial aspects of a successful plan. The plan trustees have fiduciary responsibility to monitor and manage the investments. When you provide us with the 408(b)(2) and 404(a)(5) Disclosures alongside the current breakdown of assets by investment, we deliver a comprehensive analysis across multiple criteria.

Plan trustees are responsible to know the services provided, the fees paid for those services, and importantly, how the fees compare with other industry providers. When you provide us with an FBi authorization and the plan’s 408(b)(2) Disclosure, we deliver an extensive expense analysis to assist with the ongoing U.S. Department of Labor fee benchmarking requirements.

Having a well-defined process and maintaining proper documentation is vital to meeting the fiduciary liability that comes with offering a retirement plan. When you provide us with a copy of the plan’s investment policy statement and meeting minutes, we generate an analysis and overview of any compliance related strengths and weaknesses.
